Another month, another trip!

We'd pre-booked to stay on a site at Watermouth Cove, in between Combe Martin & Ilfracombe up on the north coast of Devon. Considering the awful weather we'd all been having we had our doubts about the forecast for a dry weekend but how wrong were we????

We left home mid morning on the Saturday and headed North. We used the new bridge, newly completed in Barnstaple, to by-pass the town and the usual Saturday morning traffic. What a smooth journey!

We arrived on site at lunchtime to glorious blue skies. After the usual pitch up and lunch we decided to walk to Combe Martin along the coastal path, which was reached just outside our site. The views along the way were glorious, including Broadsands Beach (200 steps down to the beach, which we didn't attempt because we weren't sure whether it was doggie friendly or not?!), Golden Bay (National Trust) and Sandy Bay.

The above photos were taken on site and of the site from the coastal path.
