Day 1 (pm) - Tewkesbury :

At last July had arrived. 6 weeks without so much as a weekend away - how did we cope? A trip in the middle of summer - it was bound to be glorious!!!

We arrived on site in Tewkesbury late Friday afternoon and after booking in and pitching up we wandered into town to find a pub for an early evening pint (or two!). It was pretty overcast but dry at least. After sampling the local Indian cuisine (takeaway) we headed for bed in anticipation of a wonderful week in the glorious Peak District.
