South Wales & Somerset September 2008 - Day 4: Brecon (canal).
After another night of heavy rain (we don't mind what it does overnight!) we woke up to more heavy rain! It was pack-up day for us as we were moving onto our second campsite, 2 miles from Brecon overlooking the Black Mountains.
We hit the road mid-morning and on arrival at Brynich at noon it had stopped raining. We pitched up, had a quick lunch and then headed off into Brecon along the canal tow path. It was pretty muddy from the rain earlier that day but not too bad.
It looked as though the local wildlife were confused about the time of year too, because there were baby ducklings on the canal - something we'd certainly NOT seen in September? Did they think it was Spring? On the other hand we came across a building in Brecon itself covered in beautiful Autumn coloured leaves!
It certainly has been a strange year, weather-wise, this year!
