The climb up the headland from Hele Bay around to Ilfracombe nearly killed me, but it was so worth it for the fantastic views of Ilfracombe Harbour and town. We spent most of the day in Ilfracombe, enjoying lunch in a little tearoom near the harbour and watching the displays put on by the R.N.L.I. (it was Lifeboat Day!). We enjoyed it but Paddy wasn't at all impressed by the flares!!!!

Next trip, September - South Devon, Dorset and Somerset - hopefully in the sunshine?!
