May 2008: Day 3 (am) Salisbury

We got up to some very heavy rain in the New Forest on Bank Holiday Monday morning (how typical is that?!). After having a leisurely breakfast and walking Paddy in the rain we packed up and headed off to our next destination..........the city of Salisbury.

We arrived on site at lunchtime to a friendly welcome from the campsite wardens and sunshine! After pitching up we wandered into Salisbury along the cycle path/footpath that rungs alongside the River Avon for a late lunch. We spotted a nesting coot with babies (you can see them in the photo if you look carefully!).
