May 2008: Day 4 Salisbury Cathedral

Salisbury, of course, is famous for its beautiful cathedral. It has the tallest spire in the UK and can be seen for miles. We obviously couldn't go in the cathedral because of our four-legged friend but the grounds outside were immaculate and on a very warm May day were packed with people enjoying the good weather. Whilst we were there some workmen were carrying out repairs to the cathedral. They were suspended (from a great height) by ropes and were working on parts of the spire!!! Rather them than me.
