Easter at Charmouth: Good Friday
Our 2nd trip of 2009 was for the Easter break. We had booked a small campsite in the centre of the little Dorset village of Charmouth, where we had stayed once before......back in 2006! We were not camping alone this time. Our friends from Berkshire, the Parnells, had booked the same site. On arrival we all had pitches together so not far to walk for BBQ's and booze!!!
We left home early on Friday morning and travelled through rain and drizzle for most of our 2 hour journey. On arrival we pitched up, said our hellos and had our lunch. By then the drizzle had stopped and there was definite signs of improvement in the weather. We spent the afternoon in Charmouth village and walked Paddy down to the beach, where there were many people fossil hunting! These photos show Charmouth Beach, misty views towards Lyme Regis and The Cob and one set of Parnells!!!
