Day 3: Paddy enjoyed Readymoney Cove!

Here are some photos of Paddy enjoying the beach at Readymoney Cove. He spent ages 'chasing stones' in and out of the water and chewing up a stick that had been washed up on the beach.

After spending some time on the beach we headed back through Fowey to the ferry and back over to Bodinnick.

We returned to the campsite for lunch before packing up and heading home.

We had a brilliant weekend with Brian & Doreen and look forward to camping with them again, especially if they 'order' the same weather!

Day 3: Readymoney Cove, Fowey

From Fowey town we walked to Readymoney Cove so Paddy could have a swim!

Day 3: Back to Fowey

It was another glorious day when we woke up on Sunday so we decided to make the most of it and nip back over to Fowey, on the ferry, for the morning.

Day 2: Fowey to Bodinnick via the chain link ferry

After a full day we made our way back across to Bodinnick via the Bodinnick Ferry. This takes both cars and passengers (£1 per foot passenger but free if you have four legs!). We made our way back to the campsite, up the STEEP hill, past the Old Ferry Inn, where we had spent the previous night.

Day 2: Fowey

We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around the pretty streets of Fowey, where these photos were taken.

Day 2: Polruan to Fowey via water taxi!

After wandering down into Polruan village and finding a doggie friendly pub (The Russell Inn - highly recommended!) for a leisurely lunch we headed across to Fowey on the Polruan water taxi : £1.20 per adult and 30p for Paddy - bargain!

Some of these photos were taken on the water taxi.

Day 2: Polruan

We found a lovely spot to take photos of each other too!

Day 2: Polruan

On arrival in Polruan we headed back uphill to take in the stunning views of the Cornish coastline.

These photos are of the coastline towards Gribben Head, the Polruan coastguards look-out, the ruins of St Saviours Chapel and Readymoney Cove (Fowey).

Day 2: Hall Walk views across to Fowey

The views all along the walk were glorious, especially on a very warm October day.

Day 2: Hall Walk to Polruan - halfway - Pont

Pont is a tiny little hamlet with just a few cottages situated at the head of the estuary on the River Fowey. It's the halfway point of the Hall Walk between Bodinnick and Polruan. A lovely resting place! There was not a soul in sight! The only sounds were the birds and the trickling of a stream - perfection!
