October in Somerset - Saturday pm

With the glorious sunshine the autumn colours of the trees looked even more impressive.

We took Paddy for another short walk around the site in the afternoon and then picked up a take-away locally and spent the evening in!

A perfect end to another lovely weekend away.

Next trip - Christmas in St Ives!!!!

October in Somerset - Saturday pm
On return to the campsite we had lunch and then got the site directories out and started planning our 2010 trips!!!

Minehead CC site is a fantastic little site (approx 50 pitches in small cul-de-sacs!). This is a site that I wish we could pick up and move to somewhere special.

October in Somerset - Saturday am

With Paddy still suffering with his arthritis it wasn't fair to expect him to walk into Minehead and back so after a short walk around the site dog walk we left him 'home alone' and wandered into Minehead for an hour or so.

October in Somerset - Friday

We spent most of the morning waiting for the jobs to be done on our motorhome. We were supplied with a courtesy car so drove to the local garden centre for a cooked breakfast (highly recommended!) and then visited Highbridge to have a nose around their new motorhomes. Nothing caught our eye!!!

Later that day we headed to the Minehead CC site where we pitched up and spent the evening chilling out in the camper.

October in Somerset - Thursday evening
After a lovely meal in the very doggie friendly Globe Inn in Samford Peverell we wandered back to the campsite along the canal in the evening sunshine.

October in Somerset - Thursday pm

Late afternoon we decided to enjoy the sunshine and walk along the Great Western Canal to the village of Samford Peverell.

October in Somerset - Thursday pm
Our motorhome had to have a trip to our dealer to have a few minor jobs done under warranty so we decided to make the most of the time and book 3 nights away!

We left home in glorious autumn sunshine on the Thursday lunchtime and headed to Minnows CC site sat on the Great Western Canal just outside Tiverton (a site we first used back in March).
We spent the afternoon drinking tea and readin!!!
